Canadian Mbu12 O2 Mask 4 Hgu Pilot Flight Helmet RegHello everyone! What we have here is another pretty sweet gentex canadian mbu-12/p mask, i got this mask in a trade about a year ago. I has been kept in very good condition and looks really nice. A little about the mask, this is a pretty rarely seen canadian version of the mbu-12/p, complete with na anti-suffocation valve. It si dated 89/90/91. The mask is complete except it does ont have the microphone element. I believe it was used by the nato flight training center, but i'm not sure and from the looks of it, it has been flown quite a bit, which makes this a pretty sweet set. Beware, it is not new, the mask has that unique flight gear odor to it. As i have no modern canadian helmets to display, so this one is going on the chopping block. Alright! This type of equipment is intened to be worn by fighter pilot flying with gentex flight helmet type hgu-86 or hgu-68 or hgu-55 in f/a-18 hornet and a-4 skyhawk. hTe pilot of these aircraft were trained in the use of aircrew life support equipment including g-suit and oxygen mask systems in fighter and attack aircraft. The mbu-12 and mbu-14 were masks that were also used with this type of equipment in naval aviation. More modern aircraft such at the super hornet and grumman prowler are now using different types of equipment such as the cru-103 and gru-7 ejection seat.
